AXIOM Artis dMP is an innovative solution for fluoroscopy and angiography procedures. This system comes equipped with flat detector technology and is ideal for diagnostic and interventional radiology. • Flat detector technology with excellent image processing algorithms
  The flat detector provides a more homogeneous image than an image intensifier. Images can, if necessary, be optimized through postprocessing.
  
  The digital imaging chain is devoid of any vacuum elements that can degrade over time. There are no optical couplings which diminish contrast resolution due to veiling glare. It provides distortion free images whether in or out of high magnetic fields.
  
  
• Fully Digital Multi-Purpose Imaging
  AXIOM Artis dMP is fully digital for every step of the image formation process, from the point of acquisition to processing and display. The system’s flat detector features excellent 3.25 Ip/mm spatial resolution, enabling visualization of low-contrast objects at all relevant framing speeds.
  
  2k Imaging*
  AXIOM Artis dMP delivers 2k acquisition, particularly effective for bone work applications when overview imaging requires full detector resolution to display the finest structures. Using the spatial resolution of the detector, this optional imaging system enables 2k acquisition mode for single exposures and image series.
  
  DDO – Heightened Contrasting of Difficult-to-Image Areas
  Digital Density Optimization (DDO) harmonises the distribution of gray steps in an image , provided additional information on dense tissue and other difficult-to-image areas.
  
  CLEAR- Online R/F and Angio Image Processing
  AXIOM Artis dMP is equipped with CLEAR technology, an online imaging functionality designed to further optimize the workflow of R/F and interventional angiography applications. Providing auto window for Digital Radiography (DR) applications, zoom adaptive edge enhancement as well as online fluoroscopy with separate frequency processing, CLEAR enables crispy image adaptation and/or online noise reduction processing. Also, it reduces postprocessing activities, thereby offering additional online fluoro capabilities during applications like online image processing for complex patient conditions.
  
  
• Intelligent dose reduction

  Filter Size Adjustment
  Enables reduction of skin dose values for each patient's anatomy using an adaptive Cu prefiltration function with variable filtration levels – without compromising image quality.

  Variable Fluoro Frame Rates
  Enables adjustment of the pulsed fluoroscopy as needed for each applications including during interventions, providing reduced puls rates of between 0.5 and 7.5 frames per second.

  FLUOROSCOPY STORED ON DISK
  
  Fluoro Loop* (Store Fluoro)
  With the Fluoro Loop, AXIOM Artis dMP enables cine-like acquisitions of highly dynamic examinations such as barium swallow fluoro series with up to 30 pulses/second.
  
  Following fluoroscopy, the Store Fluoro can functionally save the dynamic series directly on the hard disk of the system- and retrospective capture with the simple push of a button. By using fluoroscopy rather than DR acquisition, Store Fluoro also offers additional dose savings.
  
  
• Supporting Advanced Imaging Applications
  AXIOM Artis dMP is well-suited to support applications in angiography and interventional radiology with such advanced imaging applications as Perivision, Dynavision and InSpace 3D.
  
  Perivision* / Peristepping* - Optimized Peripheral Images
  Online DSA stepping with a position-specific memory function for individual image parameter settings, Perivision /Peristepping enables image quality optimization in real time for peripheral angiography.
  
  Dynavision* – Sharp Spatial Vascular Reproductions
  Dynavision, DSA (online subtracted) rotational angiography with angle triggering, delivers fast spatial reproductions of the vascular structure. Providing additional information and the short acquisition helps to reduce bolus times, contrast agents and motion artefacts.
  
  InSpace 3D* - Reconstructed 3D Angiography Images
  In addition to 2D imaging, AXIOM Artis dMP features 3D reconstruction (InSpace 3D), a highly practical diagnostic tool for general angiography. Performed on the LEONARDO workstation, InSpace 3D offers a variety of display options such as VRT, SSD and MIP within one minute after acquisition - valuable diagnostic information, particularly for complicated interventions.

• Flexible system architecture with scalable clinical applications
  The open architecture of the imaging system enables expansion of clinical applications, which can be scaled to specifications, including the integration of Dynavision, Perivision and cardiological applications along with the Siemens hemodynamic and electrophysiological system, AXIOM Sensis.
  
  
• Detector and Imaging System
  A large format, solid-state amorphous silicon detector with more than 4 million pixels and the special processing algorithm ensures the high image quality for clinical practice. The pincushion distortion inherent in image intensifiers has been eliminated, while the precise luminance resolution per pixel provides excellent 14-bit dynamics - much higher than conventional image intensifiers. Benefits from this higher dynamic range include a lower risk of overexposure and a better soft tissue resolution. Finally, the flat detector is enclosed within a small, compact housing to attain the steep angulations without hindrance.
  
  
• Comprehensive control elements
  The rotating collimator of AXIOM Artis dMP allows upright image display and acquisition when the system gantry is in any position. What this means for the clinician is the flexibility to perform examinations at any rotational angle with optimal image orientation which enhances the workflow and makes for a comfortable work position.
  
  With its flexible positioning, this multi-functional system covers the spectrum from fluoroscopy examinations to most vascular procedures. The +/- 90 degrees system tilt enables upright examinations both ways to fit the tilting requirements of any examinations.
  
  The stand design combined with the transverse table movement makes it easier to have all round access to patients. This access helps when close contact during procedure is required and during patient transfers.
