GE Discovery CT750 HD - High Definition CT Scanner

Being the first high definition CT scanner in the world, the GE Discovery CT750 HD (HDCT) sets a new standard in clarity and dose. The HDCT brings unprecedented image quality across the entire body and reduced dose for better patient care. The revolutionary technology of the HDCT consists of four major elements, namely, Performix HD Tube, Gemstone Detector, Data Acquisition System and Adaptive Statistical Iterative Reconstruction (ASIR). The design of the HDCT brings great improvement in image quality of up to 33% for body scans and up to 47% for cardiac scans compared to previous GE scanners. More importantly, the vastly improved image resolution allows doctors to accurately quantify stenosis in coronary vessels and accurately diagnose problems throughout the body. In terms of radiation dose, the HDCT significantly reduces dose but not at the expense of image quality. The result is an improvement in image quality at 80% lower dose for cardiac scan and 50% - 85% lower dose for all body parts.
